Every Incite Literacy project creates real evidence of learning. This guide shows you how to translate your work into transcripts, credits, or career portfolios.

Important Note: Incite Literacy is a new program. While we provide structure and guidance, you are responsible for ensuring your documentation meets your specific educational requirements. Always verify with your school, state, or educational authority.

Understanding Credit Options

Time-Based (Carnegie Units)

  • 1.0 Credit = 120-180 hours (varies by state)
  • 0.5 Credit = 60-90 hours
  • 0.25 Credit = 30-45 hours

Most Incite projects (60-80 hours) = 0.5 credits

Competency-Based (Portfolio)

  • Demonstrated skills through actual work
  • Evidence of growth and mastery
  • Real-world application
  • No time requirements

Grading Options
